Beginning as Land Fund in 1975, the corporation was later renamed from the Korea Land Development Corporation into the Korea Land Corporation in 1996. In the meantime, the corporation has done it's utmost to develop the national economy and promote public welfare by carrying out numerous land policy projects and providing large quantities of land as required.

The KLC has sought to create a city model that is suitable to live in, where cutting-edge technology and the environment stand in harmony, by building new towns, multi-functional administrative city, and Innovation Cities, while pursuing balanced national development. At the same time, the KLC has promoted South-North economic cooperation, and enhanced Korean prestige in the world through the Gaeseong Industrial Complex, Free Economic Zones, and overseas new towns.

With a particular emphasis on the stabilization of the real estate market, the KLC will make every effort to provide affordable, good quality city sites, SOC sites, and industrial sites in a stable manner, actively using the capital and land banking systems we have accumulated to date.

DAEDEOK INNOPOLIS was established to proactively take measures to create new growth engines, and to ensure that is members are globally competitive. The DAEDEOK INNOPOLIS is actively engaged in forming venture ecosystems, joint industry-academia research networks, as well as overseas exchanges. The level of R&D networks that we oversee is unparalleled in the region, and we are confident in our ability to see next-generation projects to fruition. By maximizing the vast assortment of competencies accumulated within DAEDEOK INNOPOLIS and filtering them into top-notch global networks we plan to become a world-class innovation cluster within 10 years.

The Heidelberg Technology Park, conceived as a biology park, is a science park that makes up part of the Ruprecht-Karls-University campus. Covering an area of 50,000 m², with more than 80 resident companies and nearing 1,300 employees, it is amongst the most important biotechnology sites in Germany and amongst the leading worldwide. Around 200 associated members strengthen the development of this biotechnology cluster in the metropolitan region of Rhein-Neckar.

KETI, as a corporate –style research organization, is the vanguard of Korea’s efforts to stand at the center of advanced global electronics. KETI has led industrial technology development in Korea through its role as an integrated and organic developer of advanced key components and systems demanded by both local and overseas markets. In particular, as a corporate-style research institute, KETI has established prominence through 4th generation technology concept of research and business development and look forwards to stepping into the international arena with increased global competitiveness.

The Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. of today was created in 1988 by the merger of the former Nomura Research Institute, the then research department of Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. which became a separate company in 1965, and Nomura Computing Center Co., Ltd. (later Nomura Computer Systems Co., Ltd.), which had been the computing department of Nomura Securities and which was spun off in 1966.

The origins of the NRI Group, however, lie in the research department of Nomura Shoten, established by Tokushichi Nomura, the founder of Nomura Securities.

The NRI Group succeeded to the DNA and philosophy of its two predecessors and from the research department of Nomura Shoten, and has been passing them on to the next generation.
